Fisher's Gasoline Pump Service, Inc. is a third generation business. Robert R. Fisher began the business in 1952 using the name "Robert R. Fisher." He worked out of his home until 1964, at which time he moved into the building on North Stewart Avenue in Newton, N.C (this building is still being used as part of the company). On January 1, 1966 Robert Fisher sold his business assets to Harold E. Fisher and Norman R. Fisher and Fisher's Gasoline Pump Service, Inc. was formed. Over the years, our number of employees have grown from two in 1966 to twelve at present. When Robert Fisher formed the business, it was to install and service gasoline equipment. Since that time we have expanded our business and shifted our focus from gasoline equipment to automobile lift sales and equipment. In the early eighties Fisher's Gasoline Pump Service, Inc. signed a contract to become a stocking distributor for Rotary Lift Company. Since that time, Fisher's Gasoline Pump Service has become a parts depot and an authorized Rotarylift installer. On January 6, 1995, Harold E. Fisher gave his resignation as President of Fisher's Gasoline Pump Service and the shareholders voted Randy E. Fisher President of the corporation, making Randy Fisher the third generation to take control of the business.
